bouncy idle?
Alright. I noticed this yesterday, but it did it today too.
When the car is halfway warmed up (according to the water temp gauge) and I am idling at a stoplight or something, the idle goes between 900 and 1100 RPM. other than that the car runs fine. doesn't do it when it's warm, doesn't do it when I just start it. so, I'm confused.
Also, lately it's been REALLY cold if that's a factor.
one last thing, sometimes (once or twice) when I start it in the morning and let it heat up while I'm de-icing the windshield, for a couple seconds after running a bit, it'll not fire in a cylinder, then go back to a solid idle. what could cause this? doesn't happen every time.
Thanks for the advice. I'll buy each of you a beer sometime

someone told me about three months ago it was the auxiliary air valve and the throttle positioning sensor. im having the same problem with my car, before i put the new tps on, it would rev all the way up to 1800 as its "normal" idle. then start bouncing around again. then i read that its the adjustment on the tps, then i was told its not, and i cant find where i read about the adjustments. so hopefully youll get some answers that i can steal.
