Default What is this thing?

Looks like an alarm siren or something..Some 944's dont have it.

Looks like a post alarm system, not Porsche equipment. I have removed two alarm system from 944's and their is exstensive wiring under the dash that has to be remove should you remove the two parts adjacent to the battery. Also the original wiring has to be repaired, or the car will not start. I would recommend that if you start to remove the system be prepared to do the whole thing and not just part.

Blinker Fluid Reservoir

I believe it IS the alarm siren (though I could be wrong)

the arrow is pointing at the vacuum canister. Leave it alone :-)

More worthless posts. They seem to be filling up the forum these days. Do use all a favor and answer the question first and save the lameass useless posts for after a valid answer has been posted.

The arrow is pointing to the vacuum canister. Clamped next to it is an alarm horn from an aftermarket alarm system. The stock alarm horn was not placed in that location.

Ok, so its a vacuum canister...Now what exactly does a vacuum canister do?
