I suggest under the glove box, or in the hatch, plenty of space back there.

It would be visible under the glove box wouldn't it?

Not if you push it all the way back, lots of grounding points and power wires there too.

best thing to do would be to pull the seat out and give it a try. the seat only has 4 bolts holding it down. takes about 5 minutes to pull it out. remember the plugs for the powered seats and seatbelts before tearing the seat out. find a good placement for the amp, then try setting the seat overtop. if it fits with a good amount of clearance your set. remember that tight places for amps are bad because you get poor airflow and a good chance of thermal shutdown (or in the case of thermal protection, signficant loss of power to speakers).

Think I will try that . don't have power seats in my '84 maybe that will give me more room.

I highly doubt it'll fit, and even if it does, like Kevin said, there is a lack of air down there, and it'll result in poor performance.

Even if it fits youre going to be careful with someone heavy, or someone thumping down into the seat.

Also, almost no air curculation down there, not a situation that makes an amp happy.
