I just called his fax number, and his businees number. Both are still working. Called too late to get anyone on the phone though. I'll try again as I've ordered a part that he hasn't shipped yet.

I spoke with him on phone today. Apparently there are major things on the horizon for Huntley. I'll let him spill the beans when he feels like it. He did confirm that the website was basically being completely overhauled with a new product incorporatiing his new business changes.

I hate being taken for a fool, and apparently Derrek has done that to me.
I wouldn't look for anything regarding Huntley in the future, he's gone! No return call, no return faxes, no website.
This just makes it easier to deal with the other vendors, one less option to muddy the waters.

Tim Richards has been working a deal with Huntley about moving into the Huntley location. At least this is what Our shop girl Julia told me after coming back from a trip to SFR for an intake manifold repair. I'm not sure how deep the dealing goes, but I'm pretty confident that Tim is just looking for a larger location more towards the center of the town.

Let's just say, the 944 shops in Socal are thinning out. Something about the robust economy in California or is it the workmanship? Have we reached the point of diminishing returns for the 944? Maybe we'll have valuable part cars in the near future.
As always the moniker: this is the poor man's "Porsch"!

OK, this really does finalize this.
I posted the following to the 951 e-mail list today:
Interesting that this subject was recently broached here.
I ordered a part from Huntley back in October. Took forever, and I never saw anything. Made many calls, sent faxes, e-mails, yada, yada, yada. Nothing. So I called my bank last week and disputed my charge of ~$314. They said no problem, we'll refund your money and go after the merchant, and that I would receive a phone call from the investigations dept in a couple of days. The bank called today and I gave them all my information. Something very interesting then happened. 4 hours later, the girl at Huntley Racing calls me on my cell phone. She apologized up and down and stated that the business was closed for good and that they would refund my money. I had to laugh at that point, telling her that I already had my money and the bank was gunning for Derrek. Again she apologized and stated that Derrek wanted to call me too (he was out of town... allegedly) and explain his difficulties with getting my part. Too late Derrek! I'm not interested! I see why his shop closed up, his customer service was the worst I have seen in the Porsche aftermarket parts world!
To those that have stuff at his shop, I truly empathize with you. I feel your pain! Good luck in getting your parts back, you guys have a lot of money invested in that clown.
It is even more interesting that Derrek continues to sell parts on eBay (do a search for Huntley Racing). It's even more interesting that all his stuff is "buy it now", meaning he will only sell the part if he has the money first. Get real...
Good luck to all you guys.
