Default RANT: The "Search" function

OK, I gotta get on my soap box about this one.

THERE IS A SEARCH FUNCTION ON THIS SITE FOR A REASON!!!! USE IT!!!

The reason I say this is because two people posted that they had interest in Turbo brakes on an N/A a day apart! Now it's the 924GT head lights. You must be joking me.

SEARCH BEFORE YOU POST!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anders, we need your "Besucht die Searchfunktion' or what not quote!!

Rant: over.

Search can also be addictive I spent two years at this place and Pelican forums and got all my info using search and never signing up as a member Same with my Miata Basically, everything that one can ask has been discussed already, it's just a matter of time when someone will reask it That's what keeps the forum alive though

Awoir, not trying to bust your *****, but in the lst month there have been way too many reposts of topics that have been hammered to death. Just ahd to blow off steam. But, Rocket is right, this is what keeps the forum alive!

Well sometimes different people will answer the next time you ask, and you might get better information; at the same time, I agree, if the questions seem like they might have been asked before, then search.

Jab,

Uh, hold up there Skippy! I USED the search! I used it to bring back an older thread because I'm SELLING my 924 GTR headlights. Is this OK by you, or is there a special form I should have filled out?

I never understood what what was so terrible about re-hashing topics. The question is new to the asker, and part of the fun/value/comfort of any discussion forum is to connect with other humans who have an interest/knowledge in the subject matter. What fun and/or new thinking would there be if we were all handed a big book with all the answers and told not to ask questions? Just my two cents.

People should use the search, then ask their question with a better understanding.

my idle is rough, whats wrong?

maybe if they searched first they would knock out one or two possibilites, and then the people answering would be able to be more specific.

it is there, use it.

what do these wheels look like?
use the search, and take your pic of colors.

it is there, use it.

I use it on the mullet board before i ask a question.
