993 615 227 00 is superceeded from 944 615 227 00. Both will work but the 993 one is newer and is probably all you can get from suppliers today. What part number is stamped on the silver 4 pronger, not the box but on the relay?

The relay itself says: 89 7142
12 V 10A

has a diagram, then says: Made In Germany

it has no part number on it.

I'll second that. The DME relays are the same for all of the 944 series cars including the 924S, 951, 968. Think it's even the same for the 928's.

Black plastic and has the letters DME cast into the top.
