Default Can you fit a full set of wheels + tires inside a 944?

Quick question about logistics.

I'm thinking of picking up a full set of wheels + tires (2x 205/55/16 + 2x 225/50/16), but I would need to pick up and fit them into the inside of my 944 for transport.

Will they fit? Assuming so, but I'd hate to find out otherwise once I get there. I won't have a passenger.

Thanks!

Yes. Just be careful how you put the wheel under the rear wiper. Bring a bag in case you don't have things laid our correctly and you want to put one on the passenger seat. I hope you like understeer with that setup.

I couldn't manage to get a set to fit like the pic (I think they removed the top seat portion) but they do fit if you move one to the front seat. I've also removed the passenger seat and managed 2 sets of rims, one with tires on them. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Absolutely! I used to bring my set of racing wheels/tires as well as a fullsize floorjack and cooler when I went to the track. The 944 is a high-speed pickup truck and one of the best haulers around. I ASTOUND people with the stuff I've fit in the 968. I picked up a BIG surround sound speaker system in the 968, (2) Infinity IL60's, (2) Infinity IL10's, (1) IL63c. These are BIG, they fit in the car with the hatch closed. I once brought home a 6' long dresser in the 968.... Here's a quartered 300# wild boar in the 968.....

Here's four 225/50R15 Hoosier R7's in my 944 with one in the rear seat. I think you can make it work easily.

White car is mine, rear seats were just folded down. It was very tight fit but most regular cars can't do it.

Yes, no problem. Three in the back, one in passenger seat.
Harbor Freight sells some very inexpensive but decent quality moving blankets that you can put between the tires/wheels and the 944.
