Sport seats or not?

The sport seats have wider "wings" as you can see in the attached picture. The comfort seats (yes, that's what they are called) aren't as bulgy.

Personally I prefer the sport seats, they are just as comfortable but gives more support. It's basicly the same seat but it hugs the body more and you can concentrate a lot more on the driving when corering seriously.

Sports seats are REALLY comfortable, when I got to ride in Randy_Js Turbo S with sports seats.... I didnt want to get out of the car at the end, I was so comfy. Plus I didnt slid around during cornering and stuff.

Michael- are you SURE those are sport seats in your car- the ones in your picture? Not trying to be rude, but from that angle, they don't look much like them- the bolsters just don't look nearly as rounded as the normal ones I've seen- please excuse this if they are...
Sport seats were a very RARE option for 944's- Garrity was selling the set I had looked at years ago for ~$3K/pr(!)- they were out of a 928S4 or GT... He said they usually went for >$7K/pr new- I have no trouble believing that, although I don't think they're anywhere NEAR that comfortable

Robby, they weren't nearly that expensive. I had full power, heated, FULL leather sport seats in my old 85.5 and I seem to remember it was around 3K extra-I was the third owner from 45K miles to 110K miles.
The only thing I recommend is the 'behind first' entry method to prevent wear on the high bolsters-people who just plop and slide (especially wearing jeans with rivets) will scuff up the high bolsters in no time. This method is a necessity if you have a cab and enter with the top up.

About selling the car, I am not sure about that. I have to sell either my turbocharged Miata or my 944. I am really torn about this. I get to ship one car for free through the military but have to pay for the other one. My wife and I have ordered a new mini cooper s so I already have to pay for one car out of my pocket. I can't pay to ship two to the US....

I will keep you in mind. If I do end up selling it instead of the Miata I will let you know. We pick up our Cooper S in the end of Feb so I will be selling one of my cars in March.
