Toronto's got a huge underground system called Path. No wonder. Some people live off a subway station and never have to go outside.

Here in Minneapolis there is a skyway system. You can move around all of down town with out going out side. All the walkways are lined with stores food etc. It's real handy when it's 35 below.

Yeah, but in NY it's a hodgepodge of different paths between buildings.

It's kind of amazing how buildings that are 50+ years old can be modifed to add these things. They did something like this in Grand Central Station - a back entrance to all of the Metro North tracks.

Skill is required to know how to get around.

I've spent a bit of time walking around the background stuff of Grand Central as well.

We drilled a 90 ft hole between the tracks and did some testing.

Also spent some time in the tunnels under Epcot. There is a whole mass of tunnels. You see those doors on the sides of bildings. You go under, travel across the park and come out of Mickey's toe somewhere.

They are also very protective about letting kids back there. Coworker brought his kid in the backway and when he was leaving he was stopped by a security guard. They don't like it for the kids to see something but the experience.
