Sor you New Yorkers
Cuz you'r the only ones who will get it.
Today I walked from the Intersection of Northern Blvd and 41st st in Queens to 2nd Ave in Manhattan.
I didn't walk over any bridges, ferries or the like. I didn't take the Subway.
Any ideas how I did it.
PS: and I can't walk on water.

Between 1962 and 1968 they started to drill another subway tunnel from the railyards in Queens that would go to Grand Central. They ran out of the green stuff in the early 70's. They are starting it up again. The ended around 2nd Ave. So we walked the tunnel for a pre-bid conference.
We got to look at the bottom side of Rosevelt Island. But it was a 190 ft climb out. Pain in the butt.
I thought it was cool

Aren't they trying to do a tunnel for a train that would take people between JFK and Manhattan?
There was this news report in the late 80's early 90's on "the mole people" - homeless people who live a hundred feet or more underground.
It is amazing how you can get around midtown Manhattan without going above ground - using walkways, etc. that are perfectly legal.
