Default 87 944S - Anyone replace the fuel damper hoses? What size?

So I noticed that the bottom of the hose that runs from the rail to the damper is worn in one spot because it was rubbing against a hose clamp. Grrr.

I'd really want to replace these hoses all together as they are old anyways. Clearly Porsche wants you to buy a replacement rail with hoses attached. There has to be a way to replace these.

Any tips?
Thanks
Chris

There are two types of rail - one has press-fit "pushlok" type hoses and the other has threaded fittings...if yours is threaded just have a local hydraulic repair shop rebuild the hose for you.

If you have the pushlock I've seen them just cut off the original hose and secure a new piece of suitable diameter secured with a hose clamp (screw or oetiker type)

It’s press fit so I’ll hit the local shop or find some braided hose.
