Default This is the kind of trash I have to put up with...

This is on the Lan Gaming web forums that I (used) to frequent.
The signal to noise ratio there is getting worse and worse.
I'd show the original thread, but it was closed and put in the hidden
section because it went way off topic and just dissolved to trash talk.
But this is the kind of crap I get about my cars:

-------------------------------SNIP----------------------------------------------

In 1969 Volkswagen and Porsche got together and built the
914... In some European markets you could even purchase a
Volkswagen 914.

I've also heard of the 914 and the 944 being referred to as
the biggest mistake Porsche ever made, as it did nothing but
cheapen their super-high-end sports car image with the Porsche
economy 'sports' cars. ...Which, if I remember correctly, they
spent the better part of the late 80's and early 90's trying to
recover from?

In conclusion, at least Dave has a nice car to brag about.

dave

p.s. I drive an Integra Type R #1234.

Get a Turbo '44, throw him in the passenger seat, and make him **** in his pants.

Oh, I'll get right on that. While I'm at it I'll just get a Carrera GT too.

Hey, I thought the 924/44 series helped keep Porsche afloat in the lean years by the sheer volumn they sold.

I just read an interview with the guy who wrote "Excellence was Expected" in Panorama. He asserts that the 356 was never intended to be a Porsche, but rather was a design study that Dr. Porsche had hoped to sell to VW. The 356 as I am sure you know is the car that basically started the whole thing and launched Porsche as a sportscar manufacturer.

Don't let it bug you, the guy is a dingleberry.

Sorry, that came off more snotty then I meant it too.
I'm just tired of these trash talking children in the forums that I helped
build, and I'm tired of the admins of those forums taking a hands off
approach to moderations (or lack of).

Yeah, some ***** at school decided that he'd talk **** about my car. I promptly stuck him in the passenger's seat and took him through an extremely tight section of the road that goes arround the airport (hartsfield) near my school. When we got done (aobut 45 seconds) he told me to pull over, which I did. He rolled out of my car and puked on the side of the road. When he got back in, I told him to take his RSX and stick it up his tailpipe. Nobody at school has given me **** thereafter.

What do you expect from someone who brags about owning an Integra Type R?

The person does not even know what a sports car is!!!!

His facts are straight but he's missing the point!

Honestly, his car is pretty wicked. If I had more then a 924S I'd be glad
to take him on.

His facts are half-assed and not quite straight. But I'm not in the mood
to dig up the facts and post a clarification for his retardedness.

I don't know if the date is correct, but he is right about the 914 being sold in Europe as a VW.

And why do you need to have more than a 924S? Sure, maybe not the power of a 951, but all the power of most 8V NA's. And probably handles better stock than a stock Type R at that.

I rather drive the "biggest mistake" Porsche ever made over any accord and believe that "biggest mistake" saved the company from bankruptcy......

If he's going to get all uppity over the mentioned Porsches' economy car roots, just remind him that his Integra is nothing more than a glorified Civic.

edit: although honestly, I find the best approach to people like that is to just say your thing and ignore them. You aren't going to change their mind anymore than they will change yours. And since ******** is that much of a close-minded moron, his opinion really isn't valid anyway...

ITR is one of the best FWD cars ever produced, very quick and handles like a friggin go cart But it doesn't mean that uneducated shmu can't go out and by one And he better enjoy it until it gets stolen like other 50% nationwide ANother example of overbiased ***** who can't go past the group of cars he is related to based on his investment

Have you ever read reviews of the Integra Type R? Or ridden in one? They are extremely fast. And I am not talking about just in a straight line....
