Default Timing Belt Kit??

Does anyone know if there is a company that sells a kit containing most everything needed for a belt change? Such as belts, rollers, waterpump, etc.

I've done some looking but was just wondering if there was a kit out there to make life easier instead of buying it all piece by piece.

Thanks,
T

There are plenty that sell kits.
You could start by looking at our sponsors page.

Careful with ordering kits blindly. Be sure to make a checklist of everything needed for the job.

For instance, the front crank shaft seal is not included in the front engine seal kits commonly sold. Also, many suppliers don't include the waterpump gasket, either.

Vertexauto.com has the lowest prices I have seen. I have got nothing but good stuff from there.

Since we are on the subject of timing belts, isn't there an inexpensive
tool for testing the tension of the belts?

And is there a really good online guide to installing and testing the belts?

Mine were done last spring by the PO, so I think I should check the tension
of them...just in case!

There's one called the "Kricket" tool with reportedly good results, but I've never used it myself.

Yup, used the Kricket tool myself this past weekend retensioning the belts. I think it cost $15.00 from NAPA though im not sure as my father picked it up for me. The part # is KR-1, they needed to special order it for me.

The people at allzims.com carry it for about $120. That is both belts and all the rollers. Not a bad price considering the dealership will charge you $60 for the balance shaft belt and $60 for 1 pully!
