Default What kinda speakers do you guys have?

I'm most likely going to be purchasing a 1987 944 Turbo. I'm just wondering what kinda speakers would you guys recommend getting for 944's. My friend put Infinity's in the rear and they sound pretty good. If you guys could tell me whatcha got that would be cool.

I just had a set of Kickers put in my car. they sound great so far, but on top of those I am going to be running a new amp in it as well. I wouldnt reccomend using the stock crossover in the car, just buy a good set of aftermarket speakers and scratch the tweeter in the door if you have em.

Decide your budget, and decide if you like "proper soundstage" meaning sound only from the front pair, or the "surround" feel of cound from all 4. Then decide based on what you prefer and can afford.

Infinity front, alpine rear. Front holes needed slight modifiation, shaved off about 1/4" on each side of hole.

The Audiobahn 4x6's fit perfectly, but they are very bright.

I use Sony Xplod front and back. The fronts fit fine but using the factory grills will leave a 2mm gap, not a big deal I plan on making a custom spacer.

Backs fit great.

No modification to factory wiring was required.

Anybody put 6x9's in the rear in the carpet above the storage bins? Would love to know how they sound. Also what brand? Thinking of putting in an Alpine 9813 stereo and 6x9's in rear deck. No amps for now. What do you think?

quite a variety in speakers here, for just the 4x6 speakers, what would be the best for bass quality say for the rear without doing any mods or rewiring, just the 4x6 speaker.

thanks

I have 6x9's in the rear cubbies and they sound good although I can't compare since they've been there for as long as I've had the car. They're Jensen but I've been thinking for a while about getting some Infinity Kappas.

EDIT: My HU is an Alpine 7894
