Default pics of 944NA to 2.7 liter Turbo Conversion

I'm posting this as a seperate thread for the people that have emailed me about the pictures. Its easier to just put them up in one spot rather than send a bunch of mails out. They are in no real order, but it shows the block, machined pistons, the install, and various stages of completion.

The specs are 2.7 liter factory block, freshly honed, new rings, rod and main bearings, re built oil pump, port matched intake manifold (951 manifold needs to be matched to the 2.7 liter head ports), 9:1 compression, balanced rods, 7 psi boost, intercooled, vented nose panel, KKK K26 turbo and the list goes on, but thats the main stuff.

John,
Is that car going to run without the timing belt cover?

yes, no belt covers, not until all is broken in and the belts have been re tensioned, makes it easy to get at them for them. We don't run the covers on the race cars either, adds time to even the simple crap in the pits.

I think the tires are Kumo Victoracers.

So Cal, yep...keeping it clean, just added the second lift a couple weeks ago, it was much needed, its really helped so far by almost doubling our output. Now we are down to 13 cars on the lot, whew.

Take Care!

Very nice!
Interesting.... I thought only the 3 liter blocks had the cylinders connected to each other. But perhaps the 2,7 and 3 liter blocks are the same!? Same bore right?

Yes.
I believe it's the crankshafts being different that makes the "0.3" L ...
