Default Need Hood and winshield

Anyone in the NJ area have a straight hood and or windsield for an 85.5 on 944?

Color of hood is no object as it will be painted custom color anyway.

The hoods don't make great air brakes.

Then why do they put that air brake lever in the driver's compartment?

No, they definatly dont make good air brakes! But they do make trouble when they fly off while driving.

You will probably have to buy a new windshield. Most of the time the windshield is damaged beyond reuse when removed.

Definitely a new windshield.

What did the driver behind you do when he saw your "jettisoned" hood coming at him?

As a matter of fact I was in the process of passing an 18 wheeler when it happened. When I got home I showed it to the neighbors and they said (without hearing the story mind you, "Wow, looks like it got run over by a truck."

NH isnt to far for me. I can pick it up and make it a weekend event. How much you looking to get?

Christian,

We might be picking up a 924S parts car this week if the people ever call us back. Its the one that I PM'ed you about a while ago. The whole thing with these people letting us know what they want to do with teh car is kinda sketchy though, so I don;t know whats gonna happen. If we do pick it up and you haven't found a hood yet I'll let you know. IIRC the hood is in good shape on it.

I have a hood too. It is straight but needs to be repainted. Located in upstate New York.
