1970 1.7L For Sale
Well after many years of hoping to have enough time to get "Lola" restored I've decided to put her in someone else's hands. Hopefully you have more time than I could find. Its been about 10 years since I've had her as a daily driver, but I recently had the gas tank flushed/cleaned, rebuilt the Weber Carbs, replaced headlight motor, and other general updates to get her running. She drives now, but still needs some engine/tuning help. Most functions are in working order. I'm hoping to get $2,500 for her, but if I'm off base here please let me know. I've been out of the 914 world for a while now. Here are the details:
1970
1.7L bored out to about 1.85
Newly rebuilt Weber 40IDF carbs.
New battery.
Always garaged until last year (new house = no garage space)
Rust under the sail panels and usual battery tray, but otherwise not too bad (there is always more rust.)
Jacob's Ignition (Not currently hooked up.)
Interior in okay shape with dash crack and passenger seat rip.
I have straight pipes I can throw in as well.
Here are the pics.

I'm interested in the car. I'd love to see pictures. I'm going to be in your neck of the woods on Tuesday and might be able to stop by in the evening if that works for you.

I stopped and checked the car out last night. Moe is a really nice guy and we ended up talking cars for a while.
This is a pretty nice 914. It has some rust at the front of the sail panels on both sides, some surface rust in the rear trunk (really not bad) and some rust around the battery tray and passenger side engine mount. The passenger side engine shelf was replaced some time ago and their was a patch on the floor board in the center by the firewall. Overall I think it's a great car to start a project or one that could be made into a driver pretty easy. It's definetely too nice to part out.
Moe said he was going to get some more photos up.
