Default Ever lay on the garage floor?

After having the engine out of my 914 for over 2.5 years, I finally got it back in! I still have a few things to hook up, but the end is in sight.

I'm lucky to have a lift - when I was done for the evening, I raised it all the way up and lay down on the floor staring up at it. Here's what it looks like!

I've seen that view a few times over the last 40 years! I R&R'ed the engine so many times in the first 10 years or so I could do it in my sleep... my dad and I put a pit in the workshop because that was long before all the good lifts that are out there now. Still have a pit in my shop now- nothing to break!

Only the 3rd time I've had the engine out.

I've updated my engine build website - it has video, too!

I have seen that view many times as well. But it is normally with just floor jacks. Matt Romanowski and I have an engine removal down to 90 minutes if I remember correctly.

I've only seen that view a couple times on my own cars, and never that clean. I'm going to be seeing that again pretty shortly here and am not looking forward to it since I do not have a lift at my house.
