Thanks, I'm trying to teach him the 'rennlist ways', but he is a youngen and thusly is sometimes (often) sporatic. Please, go easy on him.
He'll be home in a few minutes and will wonder why I didn't spend the last 10 hours working on his car getting it ready for the Concours tomorrow (display only). Instead, I put both my turbos in the best shape they've been in, for a long time. It's actually a comming out party for my wrecked car now reborn into another body.
It's fun when a project becomes complete. (it's not quite yet, but soon).

Thanks,

Dan,

In a lot of ways your son's little 914 is a lot more special than many of the concours cars out there whose owners (and I don't mean all councours guys/gals by ANY means) are only interested in trophies.

I think his little 914 is more special because it is his
I know that's how feel about mine.
And in reality I'll trade mine in a flash for a 911

Well, We did the Concours thing. He thought about it for a while and decided he wanted to enter the 914. Needless to say, it came up short on points, but high on pride. Everyone was great about teaching him how to do better next time. No degrading remarks were heard. I was impressed with the people there. I thought someone would turn their nose. And the best part, since he was the only 914, He WON! We were really hoping to see a cherry 914 to see how it's done right.

I put my track car into the competition class and took 1st (out of 2) so we have a pair of REAL nice desk clocks.

Enough of the sillyness, on to getting this car running right. I'll start another post to discuss the engine.

Thanks for the good words. I think the last couple weeks will stick with him forever.

I remember when I bought my first car....
