ViperBob,
Tang would look real nice with you behind the wheel!!!!!! Any interest, I am sure you could fit some sort of big turbo in it. I am a little sad to sell it, but I am getting a 1970 914-6 GT (look) that is amazing!!!!!! I just can't own both. Hope all is well and my family said they want to see you in Florida this year. PM me your number! Later - Jay

My number is on my signature block.... Post pics of the new car when you get it. I can't really consider a 914. With 700+ HP as a requirement, it would flip over or twist in half.

Just a little update, a gentleman in Norway is wanting the 914 badly. If anyone here is thinking about it they might want to act quickly before I go through the hassle of shipping her across the sea!

Well, I had a very nice guy come look at the car today who was amazed at how great the car was. He kept saying how great the car was and it got me a little emtional over the whole selling of my car. I worked so hard to buy this car, I started saving my money for this car when I was 12 years old and it was my baby when I got it at 16. I took this car to the prom and did so many great DE events and had so many good times with her, and it is starting to hit home that she is in fact going to be sold soon. This car was my retreat when I had a bad day, I could always take the 914 out for a long drive and figure things out.
Anybody out there have an attachment to a car like or you did? How did you deal with it?

Sounds like an amazing car! I wish I had the money. I have a car i'm very attached to. It was my fathers 1966 Nova. He passed away when I was younger and I inherited it. Most of the memories I have of him are us working on it together. It sits in my garage. I drive it in the summer, and I wouldn't sell it for the world. It's very centimental. My mother could have sold it when he passed away, god knows we needed the money, but she saved it and put it into storage untill I was old enough for it. I would never part with it. My advice would be to hold onto it, or sell it to a friend, rennlister, or someone in the community that will take care of it. You'll sleep easier at night knowing it's in good hands. I know a guy who sold a few of his custom cars during a divorce so his wife wouldn't get them. He still considers it a huge mistake. Think it through.

Sadly, I sold it a few days ago. I still have it, but I have the money for it. Thanks for the help!
