Default Has anyone seen this 911SC?

Posted on Pelican, I was curious to see if anything popped out at anyone, or if there were any red flags. Does the price seem fair? I know some work will need to be done considering so much of it has not been updated, but I'm not sure if the price reflects that. He's asking $38,900.

Here were some additional questions I asked:

-Is the paint original? Not original, something else originally. Not sure what it was. Done 10 yrs ago.

-Is there AC? No AC

-What sort of service has been performed on the motor? No work done

-I believe you mentioned 2 owners? Can you give me some background on the car? Previous owner had it 16 yrs.

-You also mention transmission rebuild. Is it still the stock 915 transmission or was it replaced with something else? Still stock 915, opened up and rebuilt

-Were the Bilstein shocks a recent addition? Yes, in the front. Rears are in good shape, not new Bilsteins.

-Are those original Fuchs wheels? Reproduction Fuchs 16x8 and 16x9

-What size tires are the Toyos? Brand new 225 front 245 rear

-Is there any rust anywhere? Not that he can see

-The Carrera oil cooler is new? Yes, upgraded. Done by previous owner. Was recently serviced.

-VIN: 9119303041

Suggest you ask the owner a few questions about this '79. The car is not original...appears to have M491 fenders/flares. From my understanding, the factory did not make the M491 option available until '85/'86.

Question is...are the fenders/flares real, or are they Memorex?

Freesaints are you trying to be slick by slipping an ad for a car in here?

Not at all. I came across the listing on Pelican and was interested in the car as a good foundation to build on. I'm looking to buy my first, so thought I'd put the car in front of the community to see what people thought. The pictures were from the sellers response to my questions but I wanted to see if others saw any red flags. Nothing more, nothing less.

Not sure what made you think that I was pushing an ad. If this isn't the place for newbs to ask questions, not sure where is.
