Default Becker Radio

I'm having a '79 930 restored and I don't have the original Blaupunkt radio. So, I'm looking for a replacement that presents a clean look on the dash.

Is anyone aware of where I can find a Becker radio like the ones Singer uses in their redesigned 911s.

Thanks!

That looks like a CDR220 with a custom faceplate.
I'd contact them directly:

Default Thanks...

Thanks for the contact info. Like you mention, it might be a custom front designed by Singer, just like most everything else on their 911s.

From this picture of the CDR220, it's clear it's the same unit-

I have one of those on my 87' 930, looks "right", and with a Kinivio BTC450 you can have Bluetooth wireless audio connectivity from your smartphone (Sirius, Pandora, internet radio, etc).

On that Singer's picture it looks like they mount the unit behind the dash, using a custom enclosure and the Koenig dials:

This is a cool unit, very retro looking, but with all the modern goodies (Bluetooth, Navigation, etc). I'm sure it's not cheap-

Check this site too:

Post pics of the car too! I'm in Brownsville, TX, (more like north Mexico) by the way.

Yep, you're right...it's the CDR220. I do like that matte finish Becker faceplate Singer uses...looks really neat and clean. Thanks for the other websites too.

Here are a some pictures of my 930 undergoing restoration.

Nice! You're going to stay with that color, right? Who's doing your resto, if you don't mind me asking?
My next step is a cosmetic interior/exterior resto.

Very nice! The original correct radio is the Blaupunkt CR that says 'porsche' on the door. They are crazy expensive: One sold ebay recently for $1200. A very good alternative is the Heidelberg Blaupunkt. It is the same unit, just says Blaupunkt on the cassette door instead of 'porsche'
I bought one before I found the correct one and have it around somewhere. I was planning to send it for restoration, and get an iPhone adapter connected.
See attached for correct radio and Heidelberg (Heidelberg shown has incorrect ***** and faceplate, also much worse condition. Also it is a euro dial vs. US. but essentially they are identical except for the eject button graphic)

Yep, keeping original color...PTS (Plantation White). Hard to tell that color with all of the oxidation. The car had been sitting outside for a number of years. Will look fantastic with the brown, leather interior. I'm doing a full, frame-up restoration so nothing on the car will go untouched. Cannot wait to get it back this summer!

Monteith Restoration and Performance Upgrades in Lebanon, PA is the restorer.

Thanks for the info. Yes, the original radio is extremely difficult to find. I don't plan to purchase an original Blaupunkt because several items on the 930 are not original. It has a RUF 5-speed tranny, upgraded S4 brakes, SC cams, and will have a completely new A/C system installed during the restoration. I guess what I'm trying to say is that even though I'm completing a full restoration, I have no intention of returning the car to completely original specs; therefore, I just want a nice, clean-looking, technologically updated radio.

Any other suggestions are certainly appreciated.
