Thanks again Chris...glad to hear mine is SW. I love the styling of the console and was hoping I wouldn't have to remove it for originality!

Have you ever seen wood door handles like mine, aftermarket or SW?

This a dp Motorsport console..now who did it first is my guess that DP..since they were doing slant nose for the street before Porsche..I could be wrong though..the two that Chris posted are SW Consoles(very hard to find)...dp can still be contacted about the console...

Judging by the big air vents, that DP is a 1986 or newer, so maybe DP sourced it from SW? SW could have used the same third party part fabricator as DP did...very possible since both are German based.

Oh man...funds cleared his bank today so I'm driving down to San Diego to pick it up tomorrow. So excited I hardly slept last night!

It has some cool reversible mods I'd have done myself (K29, B&B exhaust, big intercooler) but he kept all the original stuff in boxes. It drives amazing...SO much more power than my stock '76 3.0 had. Best part is the PO has the car certified for California smog and it passed with flying colors! I can drive this one completely legally unlike my Florida tagged '76.

I looked closer at my pictures last night and noticed the importer stamped into the DOT sticker: B. Canepa! I'm hoping they keep records from that far back. I too would LOVE to know who ordered the car new!

Maybe you'll find one of Bill Gates cards in it along with some blank stock certificates.

Yes, I've seen the wooden components b4, anything was possible with the sw program.
