Can anyone help put a value on my car for me?
I have a 1982 Porsche 930 Turbo.
Slantnose conversion with real metal OEM Porsche parts.
All parts seem to be authentic.
Was told the car was theft salvaged and I can't find any indication that it was hit.
Had a PPI done.
Compression and Leakdown was great but did have a broken #3 head stud.
Needs front tie rod ends and axle boots according to PPI.
Transmission grinds in 2nd and 3rd gear. Standard 4 speed.
Has around 50,000 miles. According to odometer and auto check seems accurate.
The VIN was decoded by Vincent C. for the following:
M186...2 Point seat belts, rear manual
M220...Locking diff 40%
M409...Sport seats, leather
M499...Version for Germany
M528...door mirror for pass side-convex-electrically heatable and adjustable
M533 Anti-theft device
M559...Air conditioner
M650...Electric sliding roof
Interior was redone to a degree in white, but I have also been told that this was a factory white interior with some add ons in white.
I would give the interior a B but the rear seat bottoms are torn and need to be redone.
The car was repainted the same color (I think) at one point but has developed rust on some areas, including a little patch on the slant nose fender.
I would give the exterior a C, no dents but needs a respray.
Any help with pricing this car would be appreciated.
It runs well and boosts and pulls pretty decently.
I already bought the car so no going back now but I just want to know what its worth and if I over paid!
Thanks again you guys!

With a salvage title, head stud issues (ie needs rebuild), non factory slant (even w stock parts), gray mkt car with unknown actual miles, rough ext, redone int, etc... I'd value it around 25k, no more. Sorry, being brutally honest.

Chris is usually pretty accurate with his assessment.
In my opinion, if a) the discrepancies [head stud, tie rods, gearbox syncros, interior] were squared away, b) you re-installed factory front/rear bumpers, c) the motor was tight/sound, d) and the rest of the mechanicals were solid, I think the value of your non-factory M505 would creep up toward $50k, maybe more.
Miles on the chassis/motor is a gauge...the real valuation is in condition, condition, condition.
Is your motor stock [turbo, intercooler, cams, exhaust]?
Your M220 differential and M409 seats are $$$. And if what look to be are actually OE Ruf alloys, 8"/10" x 17", those are $$$, as well. Do you have the original Fuchs?
Regardless, you have one sharp looking 930S.

Thanks for everyone's opinions and help.
mel_t_vin the motor is completely stock. Turbos, intercooler, cams, exhaust etc. It has 48,000 miles on it but some of it looks tired and needs to be cleaned up or replaced.
They are OE Ruf wheels but I don't have the Fuchs.
I plan on tackling the motor and tranny first and foremost.
I've been reading on some people having success on backing out the broken head stud without cracking the case but it seems rare and difficult.
I've got some pretty competent hands when it comes to engine builds so I'm hoping that doesn't set me back too much.

You need to set the ride height, and then the wheels/tires/offset. I don't like the way it sits right now, but IMO you can make the stance outstanding.
Slantnose cars are definitely growing on me.
Who do you use in OC for air cooled work?

If, and when, you decide to sell, putting this car in an as close to stock as possible configuration [motor, gearbox, rims, panels] will most likely yield you the greatest $$$. If resale is not important, then, go to town with the mods.
I like the Rufs...while they're heavier than the Fuchs, you have a better selection of rubber with 17" rims.
Tackling the motor/gearbox first...sounds like a solid plan. Happy motoring...

Looking at the pictures it looks to me like the tires are sticking out of the wheelwells...maybe it is the angle of the picture. That's all. (I am not calling anyone's childrens ugly or committing other serious crime such as calling a 930 a 911Turbo or vice versa...)
