Default Porsche Panorama - "The Last 930"

Quite an extensive article by Randy Leffingwell on how the last '89 930 came about. Never mentioned who owns it (still the original owner). It was built as a US car and cost well north of a 959!. What a car!!!

I don't think the article was sanctioned by its owner. But I can tell you I have seen this car first hand it is a beauty like no other. The only car I like better is because of the color and that would be the owners other one off The America GS 964.

The article doesn't do the car justice and to hear the New Yorker tell the story is far more entertaining.

Amazing automobile. Amazing owner in terms of demanding nothing but the best and willing to pay for it. Not sure Id have driven it either knowing the provenance and specialness of it. My guess is hes not hurting for money and has another fun car to drive to make up for it and not a Chrysler minivan.

I just read it tonight. I thought it had an interesting message in the end about Porsche today. Really exemplifies a changing of the guard at Porsche.

If one were to beg beg beg (write letters make phone calls, beg some more) could they get some rare not done option combo and paint to sample. Not to the extent of this 930 of course.

Seems we will never know how it drives and put's the power down.

If you think that is nuts you should see the leather gas filler flap, key, key fob and pouch. I don't think the rain sensor that closes the top automatically upon detecting rain has ever been officially tested either.
