I have a '79 Copper Brown Metallic and it is gorgeous in person !

That IS a nice color! I think the interior really makes it work, though. It wouldn't look nearly as nice with another color interior & that shade.

As for the paint, my car has about 27K & had (to me) too many chips & nicks on the front bumper. I had it resprayed, but they I started looking at the few small chips on the hood & mirrors, thinking "If I just got rid of those, I'd have PERFECT paint!"

Well, I've resisted the urge, realizing that I'll never have a concours car (after attending a concours & seeing what REAL clean cars look like). And thankfully, I've realized that it's much more valuable & fun to have an original one with a few tiny chips & still be able to drive it without fear.

So yes, I can totally understand how someone would partially respray a 25K mile car. Although why they didn't fix the scratches surrounding the engine bay is a mystery.

As for the price... I love it! Go baby go!
