That is a very cool color on a 930 - I have really liked that color on a car since I saw a Corvette Bronze '68 Camaro RS/SS new in 1968. The 930 at Sloan is pretty close to the same color.
Yes very nice color.. I don't like the "90% original paint" stated on the website.. Probably the typical hood/side mirror/spoiler respray. Hopefully not a rear quarter. Plus what's up with all the scratches in the engine bay. Dunno, call me ****, but for $67k and 25k miles it shouldn't need paint...
6g, didn't you find your car at sloane?
Damn, he has some nice cars, and sells the hell out of them too!
Yes i did, and thought twice before I posted this one. Didn't want it to appear that i was promoting Sloan. (my avatar is a dead give away) He does have some nice cars, and although they are pricey, he does not take junk. I live perty close and have bought and sold cars from him.
My first 930 was a silver 78 and I wish I never sold it. (It now resides in the land of windmills) This one temps me.
six gun, having owned both an early 930 ('78) and your current later re-entry 930 ('86) for a while would you comment on the differences if any?
With the execption of the cat and the exhaust they were perty similar. The boost is a little slower in comming on but I have removed the stock system and replaced it with a fab-speed (no emissions on 25yr or older cars in Ma.) Fit and finish same. The 78 did feel a bit lighter and more nimble but it's been 25 years since I sold it so memorys do fade. The rear flairs were welded on the 78and stamped from 86 on. All in all, they are both legends.
6g, you have a nice car.
Did you go single or dual out?
How do you like the fs, love mine. I actually modified my dual out for less noise, so far so good.

Thanks TT--- I bought my F.S. around the same time you bought yours, love it and was impressed by the build quality. Stayed with the single out let as I did't want to cut the right side. Trying to stay stock except for things that can be easyly changed back.
The late model wheels look great on your car, good choice.
I have a extra valence that could be cut if you need one, I also kept my stocker untouched, but honestly single out is the way to go. Dual is too loud.
The ride w late model wheels n tires is great.
Anyone know if 'Copper Metallic' was a factory 1978 Porsche color, or was this 'Paint to Sample'? Also, I assume it's different than Copper Brown Metallic?
