A lot of the mystique and the desirability of the early US 930's is well documented. You're either into the early Whale Tails or early Tea Tray cars if you want an unmolested concept of what Porsche meant the 930 to be (albeit I reserve my opinion on Porsche's tactic to load on the options to increase the price). To me the '79 represents the epitome of these cars and I must say that Mang's 930, on the surface, seems to be a nice example.

oh you are all so right, I have been fortunate enough and into this vintage/collector car thing for so long now and owned so many freakin AMAZING cars, that letting em go is easier on me than most. I still have some other cool cars and just finished letting go of some that would have had you all gushing
....but you are all really correct, there aren't many like this, it is sex on wheels (^^^) thanks for all the positive vibes
I have two REALLY sweet Alfa Spiders offered up right now too, anyone here want a sexy Italian to run around in? If I sell the Alfa's I keep the Porsche, come on, this is a Save Mang his 930 campaign now, pitch in, do your part, and buy yourself or your mistress an Alfa

for example, here is one that got away long ago already...was my daily driver for NINE years, woulda made even Magnus drool
James Brooks - Brooks Motor Cars, then known as 'Fine Motor Cars' was the restorer/builder of this, his FIRST year as a porsche artist. He did this car in a 'modern' color, chiffon white, it had racing provenance and was restored to 'street modded concours', 2.2S Motor with webers in place of the solex (tennis pro and friend and Porsche racer Mike Saputo did the motor, recaro seats, teak dash, custom blaupunkt stereo, that fit without cuts in dash, some cool stuff, I LOVED this car and wish I could have it back...it went to Japan in a two car deal that took my Austin Healey 100/4 as well....wanna see some others? The '66 911 you see here was James Brooks chance to show the world his painting talents with sikkens paints, the NEW thing. I first saw this car at Monterey/Pebble Beach car weekend, he was posing it around with his card as the for sale sign, and it captivated me, I paid stupid money for an early 911 when it was unheard of, and that car looked as clean 9 years later as the day I got it, I was meticulous and somehow have amazing luck with keeping cars looking pristine...this car defined my style as a cool guy in my 20's and 30's! Im in my 50's now...

Just a little 'bump'. Not much action at these lofty prices, but no one has viewed the car either. It is my hunch that if anyone is curious and searching, they will stop searching for another when they have seen this car. Not gonna budge on my a$k as the car is simply spectacular.

Ya, that one might 'trump' mine with the lower miles....thanks for posting that :/
Lol,
Thanks also for the support for my ask. Eventually this price will be seen as a bargain.
