Default 930 bolt-ons

Decided to do a few bolt-ons.

Bough a rebuilt K27-7200 locally
Headers are coming with intake

Thinking MBC with WB as I truly enjoy them in my evo.

Do you think 1.0 bar would be good with 94 octane?
Worrying most about the ethanol content with CIS in the long run.

Looking only for short WOT pulls and no track time. Cool weather "usually" in Montreal Quebec.

Do you think WUR and intercooler is needed? Would really like to see 1.0 bar.

Let me know what you think.

I think you're on the right track. A k27, 1.0 spring, headers and exhaust are key, but a good IC is essential. The BB short neck is a nice bolt on option.

Thanks TT. I alway's read your great info and posts.

Would you think 94 octane would be enough with stock intercooler for short pulls?
Might keep the .8bar spring for now.

In a word......yes. It should be fine.
Problem is... you will want to do longer ones soon enough.

Or the rarelyl8 I/C. One of the things I like about that one is it mates up to the stock plenum on the hood lid. I don't know if the billy boat does or not. The long neck B&B sure doesn't.

I'm looking to buy the SN from Brian.
The only thing is I would like the cfm figures. Not really easy to do.

So you guy's are using 94+ octane with ethanol additive without any problems?

I'm running 27lbs if boost with a big intercooler on the evo without knock.

I guess 1.0 bar would work on our special 94 for the 930.
A knock sensor would be good.

I run pump gas 91 octane w/up to 10% ETOH. 1.0 bar - with advanced ignition timing - no problem.

+1 on the mods. Toys for these cars get expensive real fast. I would add the BL wur for sure! I have similar mods and ran out of fuel on the top end. Had to get fuel head shimmed and crank up the wur to get AFR to a safe level.

Get a hold of Brian B (RarlyL8) he has the cfm #'s on the intercooler.

The slippery slope begins...........

Thanks for the feedback guy's. Already contacted BL for Wur. It gets to expensive all at once.
For now:
K27-7200
Headers
Intake
Already have a muffler of some sort?
0.8 bar on the oem gauge.

Love my 930. Nothing like power oversteer in the curves and want a lot more.

Love the slope, lets go downhill. :-)

Just got back from 800 miles in 2 days.

The route 100 in Vt is pure bliss.

Surfed flat slop in NH in freezing water a few hours and went back.

FLAWLESS in every way. I love my car.

90 mph with a C63 AMG the way back. Good to have a radar detector.

Now need to install the headers, turbo, intake and tune the CIS.
Contacted Rombotis in Montreal as Mike is a Porsche guru. Hope he as time before winter.

I thought you went ahead with a Fabspeed IC?

i actually have the Andial long neck, but in hindsight the BB short would have been less hassle.

I'm guessing that's where you took the picture??!!! My guess? About 200 yards from the intersection of Atlantic Ave and Ocean Blvd - parked in the turnout/overlook?? And that would be the Isles of Shoals in the background (horizon)...

Dang - I grew up "down the street" and live "up the street a bit"? And you didn't drop by??!!

Sheeshhh..

BTW - lovely 930!!!!!
