eBay seller lowmilehasbeens
Anyone here know anything about the 930 this guy has for sale? And the seller?
It's been on eBay at least twice. The price keeps coming down and it rarely is bid on, not even by the fantasy guys under reserve.

I don't know the guy personally but he has been banned from this forum at least once.

He used to have the username lowmiles here, and got the ban hammer.

Yep. I don't think I'd buy a car from the guy just based on his forum presence here and on pelican.
I'm still on the fence about what is going to be my 1st car, either a 930, or a 997.1 turbo. The 930 I would hot rod over the top... EFI 934 body work etc...
The S1000RR is amazing, I went with out a bike for 8 years made the jump back to it with the s1000 have not been disappointed. Ding my best to leave the bmw alone. Some bst carbons might be my only mod.

BEWARE lowmilehasbeens on ebay BEWARE
I experienced two total misrepresentations and selective answers by this guy (Phillip) today and was compelled to join Rennlist just to get the word out and warn others. First, he told me a car in Canada for sale was not a two owner, it belonged to him at one time and that he had replaced the door from his personal crash and the entire side had been repainted. Fact from seller. It is a documentable 2 owner, he never owned it, it has never been repainted and low and behold he bought the car. I mentioned to him I saw it had been sold and he didnt come clean. Watch for it coming up for sale soon. He paid $54K and it needs nothing.
Next, the white 88 930 with red guts on ebay he lists as "Major service was done and have full receipts for service work. Just had $2500 in service." That major service was some gaskets, oil line, spark plugs and tires included in that amount! Major service? He has the car listed as located in Las Vegas when it is actually in Florida. When reading the service report out loud to me over the phone he stopped when reading the part that said " it still has......" and kept going with other items conveniently and intentionally skipping what he was about to read. That told me it has a problem that was not resolved and when I asked to have the receipt faxed to me on this $58K car he said he was not able to. You see how many cars he has listed and has had.......he couldnt tell me if there was a value diffence between a '88 and the '89 with the G50 transmission. Didnt know if there was a difference in value really? Look out! I heard from another trusted 930 person he wasnt to be trusted and now I have had a first hand experience. Put the word out.

I see his cars on ebay all the time and seems to have some clean examples, but thanks to this forum, I would do a little more research on the cars he sells and negotiating tactics before buying from him.
UberXY - I have a '00 M5. you on M5board or Mfest?

He has clean examples because he has an expert detailer and knows how to make them look good for sale. He told me he has the cad plated parts in stock on a shelf so when one comes in he puts those parts on the car then restores the set he took off for the next car. His guy does a beautiful job but it is not like the car rolls in looking like what he is selling. Claims he is not a dealer but you have seen how many cars he turns on a regular basis. Beware!

Why are most "defenders of the faith" unknowns here with anonymous names? Bizarre, bizarre...

BEWARE!!! I recently bought a 930 from lowmilehasbeens and he misrepresented the car in two areas. #1 was the paint, he said the paint was all original and free of flaws when in fact the car had paint blended in three areas. I also think he may have a "third party" inspector in his back pocket named Carl because Carl provided me with a $125 inspection and stated his paint meter and eye saw original paint. #2 was books, keys, and records. Phillip proclaimed they were all there and he even had a picture in his eBay ad. Carl confirmed all items were with car. When I got the car none of it was with it. I have tried Phillip via email, text, and his two phone numbers (FL and NV). Prior to buying the car he was responsive...now ZERO RESPONSE. This guy is a sham! Undisclosed paint work, no books, no records severely impact the value of any car. The ONLY way I would even consider doing business with Phillip would be to physically take delivery of the car, with title, and extras before funds were wired. BEWARE!!!

M5Board as TurboCarrera. Bought M5 new in '00. [I like my Porsches but the M5 is the best money I ever spent on a car, hands down, no close seconds.]

Wow! You're lucky....I bought mine in '08. I didn't think I would be so much in love with it! It would kill me if I had to daily drive it. I wouldn't be able to stand seeing it dirty.....hahaha

This is Criminal.
I hope anyone that also posts at Pelican will call these guys out. There are some great dealers that really are all about doing it right but guy's like this wreck it for buyers and sellers.
One day soon. Maybe a PPI on Phillip? I'm sure he will require a tune-up.
