whale tail rubber ?
In the center portion on the tail where the rubber meets the metal there's a rounded bump. As I look down into it I can almost see a hole that looks kinda like a drain? Is this normal or a worn tail?

If you google Porsche body kits you'll get a bunch of companies that sell aftermarket wings and whatnot. I won't recommend any as I've never used any of them. You might also do search on this , and the air/oil-cooled forums to see if anybody recommends or warns you away from a particular company. Most supposedly "bolt-on" aftermarket parts aren't and require some effort to get the fit and finish right. Good luck and let us know what you decide and how it works out.

If you have a factory tail, then the best buy would be factory rubber to replace your old one. Vertex might be the cheapest, but keep looking and there might be a sale somewere as well.

You aren't too far from GAD. They have a huge yard of Pcars and they might have one at a better price then Vertex. I believe their web site is GAD.com. The GAD stands for Georgia auto dismantlers.

I will def look GAD up. Thanks for the info. Vertex said the rubbers they have are in Porsche bags and have the logo on the bottom center just like the factory one. 500 is half the dealer price. So not bad but its always nice to get even a better deal.
