ROW Alignment Specs, Please
Hi All,
My Turbo-Look is currently getting all its suspension bushings replaced and will need an alignment.
It's at European ride height.
I drive it 100 percent on the street.
I have a Bentley manual, but it only lists settings for a conventional '84-'89 Carrera.
I'm running 205/55/16 front tires and 245/45/16 rears. I'd like to strike a balance between good handling and reasonable tire wear. Nothing too crazy.
Suggestions for proper alignment settings?
Thanks

I am getting ready to address my 25 year old suspension as well. I would love to here a before vs after comparison on the new bushings. My car has 64k miles on it. I am also getting ready to replace shocks. Did you change your shocks? What are you using? My car is only used on the street and never tracked so I want to get the best ride possible. Are you doing the work yourself or letting a shop do the bushings? Curious about the estimate price.
Thanks,
Craig

Not sure if this will help, but here is what I am doing over the winter.
- 22mm front torsion bars, 30 mm rear torsion bars
- new re-valved to match torsion bars Bilsteins for the front with 30mm raised spindles, bump steer, and then new re-valved to match rear shocks
- alignment, dropping most likely a little below Euro ride height
- replacing all bushings with new Neatrix bushings
Car will be driven 95% on the street, but will see a DE from time to time.
All in what you want, but a good place to start would be to look at the struts/shocks and replacing those first. You will be surprised at how much that will help in the ride and traction of the car. I got all my parts from Clint at Rebel Racing (http://www.rebelracingproducts.com/index.html).

Thanks for the replies!
My shocks are Bilstein HD (green) - and they're in good shape.
I bought the car last year and only have records dating back to 1998 but I'm pretty sure the bushings are original.
The car's in the shop and should be finished soon. I'm also using Neatrix rear spring plate bushings.
Once I get the car back I'll share the alignment settings.
