Default Porsche UK demonstrator Martini 930 restoration at 9m

Ninemeister have been commissioned to restore the 1979 Porsche Cars Great Britain Martini turbo demonstrator (originally registered as 911 HUL) back to ex-factory condition to join a private collection. The bodyshell has been fully stripped, dipped & e-coated as per the 9mRS programme, after finish painting we are finally rebuilding the car & fitting all the reconditioned parts. The engine and gearbox were rebuilt some months ago, so it is rewarding for us to finally see them being refitted this last week. Anyway, the pictures tell most of the story....

Calipers have all been stripped, cleaned & repainted before fitting. Every fastener on the car has been replated with the correct passivated cadmium yellow finish. We manufactured new CNC machined floating bells for the front discs, the original discs were in good condition so we re-fitted them after grinding the faces flat & repainting the non-running surfaces grey.

Robin managed to get the MArtini on it's wheels at the end of last week, so this week attention turned more towards the interior. Shots show headlining in place and freshly fitted & re-leathered dash top. When retrimming the interior we went to great lengths to only use original Porsche materials, even the leather....

As requested, more photos taken over the last couple of days. Work is progressing at a reasonable rate now because most of the parts have been painted or plated ready to fit.
