Quick photo update of recent progress. Robin's been working on the details and we now have rear windows in, engine bay finished, engine lid & spoiler fitted and bonnet fitted.
The boys are working on the exhaust and turbo today & Robin is threatening to start work on the interior again soon, so hopefully I'll post some more photos as the build develops in the next week or so.

That is stunning - nice work! Do you have any 'before' photos? It would be interesting to see why it needed such an extensive resoration to begin with. Those pictures have now got most of us thinking....

When we started the stripdown the car was in exceptional condition for its age and had only done a very low mileage, sole reason for the job is that the customer wanted it to be better than new to take pride of place in his collection.

Robin's been busy this week with the installation of the new carpet set & interior which has been fully retrimmed in new leather to match the original. Here he starts with the sill carpets, then adds rear carpet, panels & seats followed by the floor & front carpet sections.
Even if I do say so myself, this car is turning into something rather special & I really like the interior colour.
Enjoy.

Here's a few more photos of the progress from the last couple of weeks. Robin has now fitted the doors and has also been working on fitting the exhaust system. Turbo purists out there will also note that the engine is fitted with the "3.0 litre" silencer which has a single round outlet (rather than the more familiar dual outlet of the 3.3 turbo) which also has the integral wastegate silencer pipe. Because this car was one of the first off the 3.3 litre production line it was built with the single outlet silencer which is no longer available as a spare part, so in an effort to put originality over perfect we took the decision to re-skin the silencer rather than replace it. The new skin was made in stainless steel which was also painted to match the original. I'm not sure how long that HT paint will last, but at least we tried!
