$120K back in 87 for a factory slant? I know it was a $27K add-on for the customer order to Porsche's Special Wishes Program, but to my knowledge unless it was a Dubai special with 24k gold trim, it never got to $120K. Got to hand it to the author...he should go into writing fiction. Maybe team up with Clancey or Vince Gill. I think I'll keep his writeup to plagiarize some of his stuff when I go to sell mine.

Well, he's a lawyer, that helps me understand the novel he wrote to describe how a 1974 911 Tagra is now an exact representation of the rare 1988 Turbo slant nose.
Look at the license tags of his other cars, LAWPAYS and LAWSUIT, kind of cocky, I like it, I wonder if this is a sign of his ability to help out his clients? Kind of like, "Why, yes, it is a Turbo slant nose, well, kind of. It IS a Porsche and most of the bolt on parts are Porsche, If you have a few minutes I can explain just exactally what it really is, but it's a really nice car . . ."

Wow the motor can handle 2.5 bar. How many times does he say he used to be a canyon racer , we get the point!!!

Man what a Frakenstien and with a salvage title to boot! He would be a lot better of breaking it up and selling the parts. I wouldn't want a convertable track car myself but it might be one to risk on the track. Resale is nil.

Holy shyte. I know that car! That guy lives two houses from my parents!

Well, I don't know that car. I've never even talked to the guy. But I've certainly seen it (and his other cars) parked in his driveway.

edit: Turns out this guy is a friend of a friend. The world of Mulholland racers is not so large. Doesn't make the ad any less painful to read, though.

Noah, does the car look as dreadful in the flesh as his write up suggests?!

From the outside (at least when I've walked the dog in front of his house with its open garage door), it just looks like a white Miami Vice Turbo cab with fat wheels. I'll go by my parents' house this weekend to see if I can meet the guy and grab a couple pics. I didn't particularly recognize the car in the ad until Plinker commented on the "LAWSUIT" license plate on one of the other cars. Then a light bulb went off in my head. Always thought that plate was especially obnoxious, but hey, maybe that's part of the reason why I'm not a lawyer.
