There have been a couple threads about that car. It has been on sale forever.
Basically there is nothing 'ruf' about the car except add on parts, if I remember correctly so you should value it as a regular 930.

so 37k is a fair deal? I understand its not a RUF vin on it but it still has some great bolt-ons. Anybody know the actual history of the car though? I sure hope it was owned by a rennlist member. Any other info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's not a matter of the Ruf vin. Mine doesn't have a Ruf vin either. It's the motor and trans. All this car has are Ruf cosmetic bits. Without the Ruf machanicals, it's just a 930 with wheels.
That being said. It's not a bad price. The wheels (if they are 10's in the back) are worth about $3500, and about $500 for the steering wheel. Whats left, is a low mile 930, which would seem reasonable at $35k if it's mint.

thanks bill, do you happen to know any PPI guys out in st louis? I seriously dont know nearly enough about the 930 turbos to buy a car without history. If it was a newer turbo I would fly out and inspect it myself. Are there any common weak points or problematic characteristics of the 930's I should be more aware of? For example the second gear pop out on 996 turbos... I have heard that the head studs on 930 turbos are weak
