Car has been for sale FOREVER. The guy is stuck on getting 55K for the car, at least he was. Haven't talked to him in a while.

He turned down 46K for the car about four times in the ebay bidding.

I see some irregularity in the rocker panel gap in one picture, at least I think I do...nitpicking perhaps.

That 830 hp is kind of an imaginary number, IMO. He goes on to say about 600 hp at 1 bar and pump gas.

Well with his build sheet and given 600 at 1 bar, I'd say over 800 is possible at 1.6-1.7 bar. Now how long will the motor last is another question but I'd say the car is worth the money he's holding out for.

She looks pretty tight and if someone could wrestle it away for $55k I'd think they'd have a good car. Not a fan of the bright colors and gauge treatment but its not that bad.

I think it seems like a really nice car, i don't love the color, but stout build for sure!! but for 65k i could build something myself, that was alot more personalized to me!

The car is worth the money in parts, for sure. I just don't like the styling myself.

Not a bad looking car. But as you can see below, I'm partial to the style/color...

I don't like the styling either, but what an engine! 3.6 with twin GT35's, ITB's, if that has been built properly it should run 1.2bar without issue. And it's got great suspension, gearbox, brakes etc. It's a shame it's so personalised and not to everyones taste

Don, yours isn't trying to look like a Turbo S though, it's just what it is.

Maybe his would look better with the right rear wing?

Well if someone liked the body color, the personal touches could be a negotiation point in this economy to get it for $55k, then change the interior bits to suit. The motor and trans is worth its weight...

Note on the transmission though - that gearbox and clutch won't live long at 830 hp, thats why I went with a 4 speed - much more robust. I'd swap the trans back with a beefed clutch and sell the tranny to cover the cost.

Would make a good starting point for someone.

Gosh I really like the motor in that car...and wish I could pull together the finances to buy it just for the motor, then put that TT engine into my personal 930!

JBL - This car does not ITBs, just a custom fab'd intake plenum. I wonder how that intake plenum compares with the 3.2 Carrera Intake?

What bothers me about that eBay ad:

1) "Pauwder" rods! UG!

2) "niras" ringed heads...huh?

3) g50/50 with a "quaff "...quack quack!

Nice door speakers:

That makes two Yellow TwinTurbos on eBay in the past few weeks, bith with impressive build specs.

I need a test drive. Just ship the car down here so I can get some traction and I`ll get back to you. Thanks

The 3.2 intake plenums are great and unless you are running ITB's you don't really need anything more than a stock or slightly modded 3.2 intake. They'll flow up to 1,000 hp.

Can you use a custom setup to tweek the airflow to your desires?

Yes.

Is it neccessary for a strong motor?

No.

Maybe he should have spent the real dough and coffed up another $5k for ITB's.

Exactly. I actually compared the car in side by side photos with a turbo S. It was close but left me a little disappointed due to a couple details like using the 959 front bumper, the tail, ect.

I like Porsches that look unique, like DonE's car, this car just looks like an imitation. It doesn't have any personality because it is a clone, but not an accurate clone. IMO.

But still a very nice car. Too far to do a test drive. I am afraid the Bronx is not my favorite place to drive due to some prior experiences...

The 3.2 Carrera intake will limit the HP because the airspeed goes supersonic. This is why the power drops off at about 6800rpm regardless of what cams and how much boost your run. You need ITBs on a turbo engine to make any kind of substantial power.
