The new digital warm up regulator has now hit that market

Well i finally dug the car out of the garage this morning for some testing on the new WUR unit. I have to say it does work pretty well indeed. The idle AFR are around the 14.3-13.9 range and it leans out to 14.7-15.0 on cruising. I did notice some slight hesitation to richen up on throttle tip in which I might have to adjust out. Driving the car feels good as there seems to be. The acceleration feels more like ther is not as much bog when your off boost. On boost enrichment shows I'm rich enough with readings that are 11.4 at 0.5 bar boost. I have not have a chance to do a full boost readings. My ignition timing on the car seems to be off, so there is so much more tuning to be done. Overall experience with the unit seems to be pretty promising and a good stop gap between CIS and EFI. I will post some pictures and data soon.

Well my timing was off on the car as it was at 40 BTDC at 4K RPM. I notice the hold down bolt was loose and probably why it was so off. Well after geting it timed right I now have a new problem as it seems the car shuts down under boost. I thought it might be the WUR not sending fuel, but after discussing it with Steve at Unwired Tools the default setting for the WUR if it breaks would be the last pressure it was using before it breaks and since my car was still changing control pressure that my problem is related to the overboost kill switch or relay. Now I have to figure which one is it. Any way here are two pictures of it installed.

Other CIS components with UTCIS
The aux air valve will still be needed. The car won't idle well when cold without it. If your engine is race-only then I suppose it wouldn't matter.
Modifying the control pressure gives you all the fuel delivery adjustability you should ever want. No external bost enrichment devices should be needed.
The earlier post is correct. The needle valve inside the billet body is driven by a stepper motor. In the event of a complete controller failure the control pressure will stay put at the last value. That's one of the great features of CIS, there's a mechanical fail-safe underneath the control loops. Early on in the development we tried using a solenoid valve (much like the Lamba valve) but we could never get the resolution needed for high output engines.

Steve,
great to see you posting here. Could you give us some more info about the digital WUR?
1. Do you have any feedback from existing Porsche 930/965 customers that you can share with us?
2. how do you tune/adjust it? do you need a dyno or a device that can record RPM, AFR, etc.?
3. can you use it with Brian Leask's adjustable WUR (any downside it using both)?
Cheers.

Werk I yes the andial unit is still attached, but I don't need it. I just decided to leave it.
Autobahn the unit replaces the WUR so there is no need for any WUR thus a Leask unit would be not needed. As far as tuning the adjustment on the unit is done with a lap top and you fine tune it with a wideband O2 or dyno time.
