Sorry for the repost guys, but I think my other thread died and I want to make sure this gets attention.

This is a picture of the signature on my dash. If anyone knows who it is, that would be awesome. It is suppose to have been from a tech that was original with Ruf. This guy went out on his own trying to make a name for himself and failed.

I don't know the answer but I have spoke to the RUF people in Germany and found them to be very polite and helpful, a friendly bunch. How about calling them (I spoke English with them) and asking whom to e-mail the picture for identification?

that looks like Derek Bell's sig,my freind has that same one under the front hood of his 86 930, same year Derek won the the 24hrs of lemans..

you are correct sir. after he signed the hood we had a great dinner at Busch's Grove. he has amazing stories about racing the early porsches. i will let you know when he comes to town again.

I saw him at our Porsche Club Great Britain Festival when it was held at Brands Hatch a few years ago.

Well I guess I still don't know who the "ruf" tuner was... Hey- maybe Derek Bell did it... lol...

So what does this mean if anything for my car? Is a car signed by Bell worth anything more than one that isn't?

Agree with the Derek Bell suggestion. Here's another Derek Bell signature, this one from a few years ago at Goodwood.

I don't know guys; I still think that it's Montgomery Burns... still, better than Homer Simpson. That signature would add nothing to the value or cache
