Ok, I noted on another thread that Dean's conversion was completed back in or before 2003 so I would say his prices are not relevant for this discussion, except for "I remember when these things only cost x" lol.

You guys are nuts to put this sort of money into gearboxes unless you are racing professionally
I can do a whole season with my car on a stock 993TT gearbox, even without LSD, and only hear some whining from a slightly bent shaft or worn synchro at the end of the year. I am not exactly a smooth driver and my car has decent horsepower.
