Default Will 996 wheels fit a 930?

Looking for road wheels for my car, 8" and 10" would be fine in 17 or 18". Just not sure wht offsets will work. I currently have the spacers off the rear for my CCW track wheels but it's no biggie tossing them on..

Any input appreciated.

With added spacers and longer studs... yes.
993 wheels have a more positive offset, another words the centers are moved further outwards from an imaginary centerline.

It will take more than your stock spacers IIRC.

Not happening, i'll figure something else out if it means changing studs as the track wheels fit is the most important.. and they just require removing the OEM rear spacers and use the OEM studs (though they may be a little long..

How about 993 twists, any better fit?

The best way to fit the later wheels (from cars with ABS) is to use wheel spacers of the hub adapter type. I fitted some replica 993 turbo twists to my 911 carrera this way. There is no need to mess with your studs.

Thanks Nathan, that may be acceptable if the spacers just bolt on using existing studs. Just means I have to have 40 lug nuts... Do you keep the original rear spacer in place too (in your case)? I would assume so as the lugs would be too long otherwise..

The 996TT wheels I found are:
Front wheels: 18x8" ET50mm
Rear wheels: 18x11" ET45mm

What offsets would actually fit my car without big spacers?

Here are the adapters available.. wonder if they come with the lug nuts?

Gary, the ones I bought here in UK came with all the nuts. They were open ended nuts so it wouldn't matter how long the studs are as long as they didn't hit the new wheels. I would say that is unlikeley because as a guestimate I would say you need wheel hub adapters 31mm thick ! LOL
IIRC the wheels I used had no metal in the way if the studs were really long anyway, 993tt replicas.

I tried to post a pic in my last post from where I bought them from but their website just keeps crashing my browser, I'm using Vista...

EDIT: Here they are, I used firefox...

Yes, Pelican answered me, they come with nuts and I am running steel nuts now so the only problem is what size spacers I will need should I buy 996TT wheels..

I got the new wheels, measured the new and the stock wheels to work it all out. Luckily on a 911 the rear is not so important anyway.
