Default 91 G50 to 80's engine...

What does it take to put a 91 G50 tranny on an 80's 930 Engine? Do you just need to replace clutch and flywheel?

Not sure of all items but you also need to change out your pedal cluster as the G50 has a hydraulic clutch - so you need an 87-89 Carerra pedal cluster. You do realize that if it isn't a shortened G50 you also need to do substantial work to get it to fit (I *think* cutting the torsion tube and installing a coilover suspension is involved). I am having a shortened G50 installed this week (in my 82), be glad to ask Dan J. for a definitive answer for you.

A C2 G50 requires a different starter and the ring gear is in a different location. I'm not sure how that affects the shortened parts you need for the earlier chassis.

Joe - I think I misunderstood but am even more confused after your email. Are you sticking a 3.3 930 engine into a 91 C2?

Cutting the torsion tube is not neccessary if it is done right, if you want a hack job then bring on the plasma cutter. You will need a shortened bell housing and the main shaft will need to be machined and shortened as well, for full details call Jim Patrick at Patrick Motorsports.
