Just had her about 12 weeks and having a fantastic time. 89 Baltic Blue with 65k standard car - I searched for a long time to find one in great condition.
No mods like you guys but never say no and all that.

Very nice. You should leave it as a standard car. I searched for a long time here in Oz for one that was unmolested, and have been told that stock cars will be rare as hen's teeth in the future. It's amazing how many have been modified.

Thanks for the replies guys:

I do intend to keep her as original as possible as I agree there aren’t too many left, particularly in v good condition. I really set about cleaning and waxing followed by leather treatment on the interior when I first got her.

Yes the previous owner was John and a credit too him. Engine and g/box out next week to attend to g/box noise which is beyond the normal chatter. Change exhaust system – I’ve decided to replace as original but S/S system. Engine a g/box will be cleaned and the cooling fan/ housing will be bead blasted and then coated.

I don’t want a garage queen but will improve the detail while I can. Don’t worry if you think I’m nuts just say so or indeed any suggestions are welcome – I’ve waited a long time for this and fully intend to enjoy the experience good and bad, for me that’s as simple as it gets.

Very nice.
Looks like a shiny new aircon compressor in there?

BTW, where are you in England?

I concur, a real beauty. If you plan to keep the car for a while, do the usual bolt-on mods (aftermarkt IC & headers/muffler). Do simple things that can be reverted back to original in no time at all. You'll love the car even more with those simple bolt on mods. It'd be a much better car to drive (i.e: response, sound & power delivery). Then if you sell, change it all back to stock and no-one would know
