Yes the previous owner was John and a credit too him. Engine and g/box out next week to attend to g/box noise which is beyond the normal chatter. Change exhaust system – I’ve decided to replace as original but S/S system. Engine a g/box will be cleaned and the cooling fan/ housing will be bead blasted and then coated.

I don’t want a garage queen but will improve the detail while I can. Don’t worry if you think I’m nuts just say so or indeed any suggestions are welcome – I’ve waited a long time for this and fully intend to enjoy the experience good and bad, for me that’s as simple as it gets.
Damn your car is gorgeous. Love that interior. What did you pay? I'm in the market for a 930 and budgeting £18-22K (expecting a good car for that).

Good to hear from you John, you can be assured I am enjoying myself as well as keeping the car in tip top condition. I hope your 3.6 is all and more than you hoped for no doubt it’s a great car but would not swap mine for all the tea in China!

Thanks for the comments mflinkenberg and good luck with your quest to find one. I have to say I looked at many that were, let’s say, less than described.

It seems to me that there’s a been an increase of interest around the 930 over the last 12/18 months in the UK but feel sure you will get a good one towards the higher end of your budget.

As always my advice would be to ensure you have a full PPI before you purchase via a reputable specialist, I would also include compression and leak down tests. Just remember to have some budget left over for service and incidental costs.

I have to say it’s the best/most fun you can have with your clothes on!
