Kevin,
Why did Porsche use the K27-7006 on the 94 turbo S's and the K27-7200's on the stock 94 turbo's? They claim 385HP vs 360hp with this turbo and slightly different cams.

My feeling is that Porsche has always wanted to build in a insurance policy against clutch repairs and drive train damage.. With the 3.6 the early torque that is generated with the cams and 7200 would wreck components.. I'm just giving my thoughts.. The 7006 pushes the torque band to the right and up the RPM ladder. The turbochargers use the same A/R. however the 7006 sports a very large turbine wheel.. Like I have said earlier, with a modern Compressor wheel it will deliver huge mid RPM and upper RPM power.. We can't have our cake, so this unit will have a soft bottom end..

So with your K27 HF I have in my car I am seeing almost full torque at 3200 rpms and it builds slightly up to 5500 when it drops off. I am assuming you won't see that until 4200 or more on the 7006. I don't think I need to worry about destroying my clutch with the way the power comes on but if it happens it happens. You can't worry too much when it comes to enjoying these cars.
