Default EFI conversion

I'm looking @ peicing together the parts required for a changeover to EFI...
I know that 3.2 carrera manifolds are the norm. Can I use 964 manifolds?

I heard from somewhere that the 964 manifolds are plastic and the 3.2 ones are not...please correct me if I'm wrong but I think that would be the main issue.

3.6 manifold has a different bolt-pattern than the 3.2L manifold.. 3.2L manifold bolts dirrectly to head (different port diameter though).

Plastic or aluminum is not an issue, only in efficiency. The plastic ones flow by about 12% more than aluminum. The issue is with the bolt pattern as it was mentioned above.

The 964 Manifold works very well and are capable of more flow than the 3.2 Carrera and also resist heat better than the aluminum ones. There are adapters that have been made that will allow you to use the 964 plastic manifold with the older style 2 bolt heads. If you go the route of swapping manifolds, either 3.2 Carrera or 964, you will need to address the head port size. The stock 930 port size is 32mm, and you'll need 41mm to match up with either manifold. This requires porting the heads or swapping them for 3.2 Carrera heads. An alternative is to use EFI injector blocks that replace your CIS injector blocks. This allows you to convert to EFI without dealing with engine disassembly. You can get 500hp with this strategy with a good turbo such as Kevin's k27 HF 2. Kevin, Stephen, and I have the parts for a complete EFI kit for the DYI guy who wants to make a wire harness and install the parts.

Goeffrey,

Which ECU do you offer for the EFI kit? Motec? Do you do trade in parts for my current parts?

The ECU is an Autronic SMC. I don't trade in parts

I forgot to mention I'm looking @ turbo heads from a 94 3.6...
So beside the intake bolt pattern, the rest should work?
The 964 manifolds I'm looking @ are alu...

E-man the '94 heads won't fit the 3.3 head stud bolt spacing.

I think I know the answer but I'm gonna ask anyway. Is the autronic ECU CARB approved?

The kit will work for a 3.0L turbo as well. You will still be able to retain your current iintercooler setup.
