Question As I begin my 930 search...

Not that I would buy this car from Willhoit Enterprises, but why does the shift console on this car look different than every other 930 I've looked at to date? Is this an after market thing or an option?

That is a 930s center console. It may be real from Porsche, or aftermarket.

Thanks Geoffrey. Snowing in Kingston? If not, it was here in Syracuse this morning so maybe you'll get it later. Thanks again for the response.

I think it is an aftermarket unit. I saw one at this site.

Yup 930S console but I prefer it without the console.

That happens to be a really sweet looking 930 too. If you can get it in the low 30's looks like a reasonable deal if the car PPI's okay.

Yeah, it does look nice. I've heard though that Willhoit isn't a very reputable place. Any comments relative to them?

I dont know them personally, they buy some cars at auction and from Ebay and resell them. The bottom line is, if you like that car and it PPI's okay then just cut a deal with them.

Never seen a console like that but the steering wheel sure is familiar.

They are ok to deal with. They are about 4 hours from us. Normally only carry the best of the best.

The console is the real deal. 930s setup and worth some bucks. I wouldhave died to get my hands on the real deal like that one. Very rare!

Thanks for the input. Figures, I'm not quite ready to purchase a 930 and I find one right off the bat with a rare flare...
If it is a rare setup worth extra $$, I'm a little surprised that they are only asking $34K with 30,000 miles. I've found others with a "standard" 930 console, about the same mileage and higher asking prices.?

a little
Does anyone know if the 930S console was also put in the 911. I saw an 89 3.2 model with one exactly the same as UDprides picture above the other day. I would like to know if original.

Bruce,

I would think they are aftermarket.

Yes they were in the silver 50th addition as well as the Speedster. They could be ordered in any car. The two listed cars they were stock.
