I just noticed the torsion tube is gone in your pics. Is it just removed in the center, or did you cut the entire tube out? If you removed the entire tube, how much did it weigh? How are the banana arms mounted... are those tabs just welded to the body and if so was anything done to reenforce that area? I'd love to see more pics of how you did this.
Nice, quite a bit of time has been spent and the results show....it is almost begging for a flat fan...What EFI are you running and are those Bosch 280150803 injectors?
With a 50k budget it's going to be hard to build up a car from a tub. At least with a 930 to start with, you already have good brakes, the control arms, etc. The budget pretty much rules out a G50/50 too.
The torsion bars were removed only where the 6 speed Gerabox goes further back. The rest was kept. The Gearbox has a mount that ties in the two halves of the tube and to the back of the chassis. You can just see it on the pics of the Gearbox.
I am using an EFI Technology system. It is the type that Performance Developments prefer and recommended. As for the Injectors, I am not sure. They were supplied by PD as part of the build.

Simon,
If I am not mistaken you had the Link ECU previously? If so, any reason why you changed to EFI Tech, and any opinion you could give us on Link? As you know Neil carries and recommends Link as well...
I had the Link before on my Red car. It was a great system. Fully sequential etc etc for less than $ 1400.00. The reason I went with this system was only because Neil gave me a great deal on a used system from their racing program. It came with both a Dash and Steering Wheel display, and Track mapping. All I have to do is to decide which one to use.
BTW, Neil told me you spoke. What did you think after speaking with him?
