Best broker to sell '79 930
I've been trying to sell a '79 930 for almost a year now. I ran it on BaT last January and was disappointed in the result. I've come to realize that it's really beyond my expertise to try to sell it. I've bought and sold many 911s. But the oldest was a 993... I'm doing this one as a favor for an elderly friend. Who are the best honest brokers for this type of car? I've noticed Sloan. But, that's pretty much it. Any recommendations?
Car is a '79 930, bought as a basket case at auction in 2001. It's spent most of the last 19 years in various shops being put back together. Sad story; by the time it was finally completed, my friend developed a medical condition that makes him unable to drive it. It has just under 13,000 miles, engine number matches the car. I would call it "driver" quality.

How much do you want for it? Merit partners would be a great choice. They are on here.

BAT is terrible place to sell 930's, don't know why but they never do well there. At the end the day market for 930's right now sucks, no way to sugar coat it. Was super strong 4-5 years ago but today market is very soft. Not sure it is going to matter much who lists for sale today. PM me and if I can help I'll be happy to give you advice.

I have always wondered how a US 930 would sell overseas, somewhere perhaps like Dubai where there is lots of cash and a love of the marque. What would be the downside?
