What do the numbers printed on the bottom of the plate mean. 930 710 112 05. It is in the bottom right corner. My vin is 1087 and build date 11/79. Mine also has the same number in the bottom corner .

Mary, welcome to 930 ownership. 930 710 112 05 is the Porsche part number for the black Door Jamb Sticker for 1979 US 50 State 930's. The dark (05) sticker is applied on lighter paint colored 930's (including red). There is a similar sticker in silver (same part number but ending in 04) applied on darker painted US 50 State 930's. Canadian 930's (weights in kg) used a similar sticker arrangement but with different p/n's.

Here's 1979 930, chassis # 9309801161 last seen in 2014 on PCA's Mart. The new listing includes a photo of the VIN decal that shows a production date of 11/79 (vs. 12/79) despite being delivered in PTS Sienna metallic. Missing the original 85 mph speedometer.
